The Logitech MX Keys S keyboard does a pretty good job with battery life. Based on the manufacturer's description, you can expect it to last about 10 days on a full charge if you're using the backlighting. But if you keep the lights off, it can stretch up to five months, which is awesome.
There's a cool feature where the backlighting automatically adjusts depending on how close your hands are and the light in the room. It's meant to save battery by only lighting up when needed. Our research shows that some folks find this feature works smoothly, while others feel like it needs more precise movements to kick in, especially in dim light.
Even with different experiences about the backlight sensor, most people seem to find the overall battery life meets their needs. And, the built-in rechargeable battery is pretty long-lasting, so you're not going to need to charge it all the time. Plus, it comes with a USB-C cable, making recharging easy and convenient.
If you're mainly worried about the battery life, this keyboard should serve you well. The backlighting can take a little getting used to, but it's generally seen as a helpful feature, especially if you're working late nights or in low-light settings.
