The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra has a pneumatic arm that extends both the side brush and side mop beyond the robot's circular body. When the vacuum detects a corner or edge, it literally reaches out to clean it.

The Problem FlexiArm Solves

Robot vacuums are round. The main brush and mop sit in the center. No matter how close the robot gets to a wall, there's a gap between the cleaning components and the actual edge. Most robots leave a 2-3 inch strip along every wall that requires manual cleaning.

Corners are worse. A round robot can't get into a 90-degree corner. The best it can do is sweep by and hope the side brush flicks debris out.

How FlexiArm Works

When the S8 MaxV Ultra approaches a corner or edge:

1. Sensors detect the hard-to-reach area
2. The pneumatic arm extends
3. The side brush or mop reaches beyond the robot's body
4. It cleans right up to the edge (within 1.68mm of the wall)

This happens automatically.
