Hey! So, if you're checking out the Ring Protect Pro subscription, it comes with several features that can really boost your home security setup.
From what we've gathered, one of the main perks is round-the-clock professional monitoring. This means your Ring Alarm system can alert emergency services if something's off.
You also get video recording and storage, letting you keep footage from your Ring cameras for up to 60 days. Handy if you ever need to check back on something or share a clip with the authorities.
If you're using Ring Alarm Pro, the subscription also enhances your Wi-Fi with the built-in eero Wi-Fi 6 router.
According to the manufacturer, this router not only forms part of your security system but also sets up a mesh network covering about 1,500 square feet. It's supposed to replace your old router with support for dual-band connectivity that can hit speeds up to 900 Mbps.
But there are a few things to keep in mind. Our research suggests that if your home relies heavily on smart devices or you've got high-speed internet demands, the dual-band router might not handle it all as smoothly as a more advanced tri-band system. This could be something to think about if you've got gigabit internet or use stuff like VPNs.
You'll also get some nice extras like cellular backup in case your internet drops, and eero Secure to help guard against online threats.
Overall, Ring Protect Pro can be a great fit if its features match your home’s current or planned needs, especially around internet and security. Hope that helps!
