The Roku 50-Inch Select Series 4K HDR TV comes with some handy smart features. Although it doesn't include Dolby Vision (which you often find in more expensive TVs), it does support HDR10+, so you're still getting bright and precise HDR picture quality.
One of the big selling points of this TV is how it offers solid 4K HDR quality at a more affordable price. It might not have all the extras of the top-tier models, but for everyday use, it does pretty well. We found that after a few tweaks, the color accuracy is quite good, making it enjoyable for watching movies or playing games.
Speaking of gaming, this TV is nice for gamers because it has low input lag, so fast-action games will look smooth. Just keep in mind that the image processing isn't as fancy as on some pricier models, which might affect the quality of lower-bitrate content a bit. But for the price, it's a decent trade-off.
Running on Roku TV OS, the TV has an easy-to-use interface with plenty of streaming options. You can quickly access apps and services like Netflix and Hulu right from the TV, which is super convenient.
If having Dolby Vision is crucial for you, you might have to look at other options that include this feature. But if you're after a smart TV that offers good performance without costing a fortune, the Roku Select Series is worth considering. It's particularly good if you're into gaming and need low input lag.
All in all, while it doesn't have every top-end feature, it offers great color performance and a smart platform through Roku, making it a solid pick for a reasonably priced 4K HDR TV, especially for gamers.
