So, when you're looking at the LG C4 versus the LG C3 OLED TVs, the big difference to note is the type of tuner they come with. The C3 has an ATSC 3.0 tuner, which is great if you're into high-quality 4K over-the-air broadcasts.
This new tech, known as NextGen TV, boosts not just picture and sound quality but also offers better transmission. It's something you'll appreciate if you're keen on keeping up with broadcast innovations.
Now, the C4, according to what we've found from the manufacturer and various reviews, lacks this ATSC 3.0 tuner. It only supports ATSC 1.0 because of some patent issues that have affected LG's 2024 models like the C4.
So if you're all about getting those NextGen TV signals, the C4 might not be the best fit for that specific feature.
Other than the tuner stuff, both TVs are equipped with those awesome features you've come to expect from LG's OLEDs—like super rich colors, deep blacks, and amazing contrast, thanks to the OLED tech.
Design-wise, sound-wise, and smart feature-wise, LG has been doing some cool updates with things like AI-driven picture tweaks and user-friendly smart TV platforms.
If having that ATSC 3.0 tuner is really important to you, maybe check out different models or even other brands that offer it. Staying ahead with the latest broadcast tech can help you get the most out of your new TV for years to come.
But if you're all about that OLED goodness and don't care too much about over-the-air broadcasts, the C4 is still a solid choice with some nice 2024 updates.
Just think about what's most important for your viewing habits and future plans when making your decision.
