The Rider Tarot Deck® is often celebrated for its classic status, but it's not without a few gripes. Our research suggests that while many people value its educational aspects, the artwork doesn't appeal to everyone. Some think the colors and illustrations are a bit plain or even harsh, especially when you compare them to the more modern, detailed decks out there.
Another thing we've found is that some folks have had issues with the print quality—like faded images or misalignments. Even though it's not common, there have been rare cases of missing cards, which can definitely be a headache.
The deck does come with a small guidebook, which is handy for getting started. But if you're looking to dive deeper into the card meanings, you might want to look into additional resources.
So, yeah, there are a few bumps in the road with the Rider Tarot Deck, but it's still a favorite for good reason. It has this strong foundation of symbolism that really resonates with people.
Whether you're new to tarot or just looking for something traditional, this deck could be a solid pick for your collection.
