The TOTO SW3084#01 WASHLET C5 is designed to fit most standard elongated toilets, so if you have a brand like American Standard, it might work with yours. But, our research suggests that installing it might not be totally hassle-free in every case.
Some folks have run into issues with the mounting hardware, especially the rubber inserts. These inserts are meant to hold the mounting plate in place, but they can be a bit too large for the mounting holes on some toilets, including certain American Standard models.
In these cases, people mentioned having to use extra materials to make everything fit just right. It takes a little bit of DIY effort, but many say it’s worth it once everything's up and running.
Before buying, it's a good idea to measure your toilet's mounting dimensions and compare them with TOTO's specs for this model. If you're unsure, reaching out to TOTO's customer support can help you figure out if you'll need any extra steps or materials for your setup.
Once installed, despite possible installation quirks, folks often rave about how well the WASHLET C5 performs. Features like adjustable settings and improved hygiene make that installation effort worthwhile.
So, while you might need to get a little creative with the installation, many find that the benefits of the TOTO WASHLET C5 more than make up for it.
Just make sure to plan ahead, and maybe prepare for a bit of customization to enjoy the added luxury in your bathroom.
