Yeah, the SmartCat Ultimate Scratching Post should work well for large cats. Our research shows that it was built to be stable, with a sturdy base specifically designed to handle the energetic scratching and stretching of bigger cats.
It's 32 inches tall, which gives your cat plenty of room to stretch all the way up—super important for happy kitty playtime.
A lot of folks have mentioned that they appreciate how solid the construction feels. The heavy base does a good job of keeping it from tipping over, which is something we know is a big deal if you've got a larger cat. Plus, the sisal fiber material is pretty tough and holds up to lots of scratching.
The manufacturer describes it as an indoor item, and while some people think about using it outside, it's good to know that the sisal isn't meant for rain or super humid weather. Those conditions could mess with the fibers over time.
If you do think about putting it outside, keep it on a flat surface like a patio and be aware that strong winds might make it wobble a bit.
In the end, using it indoors is probably your best bet to keep it in good shape and your cat happy. Big cats should find this post nice and sturdy, perfect for all their scratchy and stretchy needs.
Just follow what the manufacturer suggests, and it should serve you well!
