Hey! So about the Simplehuman 9 oz. Touch-Free Automatic Rechargeable Sensor Pump and its waterproof abilities—it's a bit of a mixed bag.
According to our research, it's not specifically labeled as waterproof. It should handle the usual splashes you'd expect in a bathroom or kitchen, but don't dunk it in water or let it get too wet because that might mess with the electronics.
As for how it works, it's got a neat feature where it gives out different amounts of soap depending on how close your hand is. If you're closer, you get less soap, and if you're farther away, it gives more.
But a heads-up—some folks found the sensor a bit touchy. You might find yourself getting more soap than you wanted if your hand placement is off.
It's designed to be touch-free, which is great for keeping things hygienic. Once you get the hang of the sensor's reach, you can really make use of this feature. Just make sure you get used to how it responds, so you don't end up wasting soap.
To sum it up, while it's not waterproof, it can handle the usual splashes. Just be careful where you place it and take some time to get familiar with the sensor's sweet spot for the best experience.
