The Hyperwear SandBell PRO isn't specifically marketed as waterproof, but it has a tough neoprene outer layer that's built to withstand serious training. So while you shouldn't dunk it in water, it should hold up pretty well against sweat and some minor moisture.

Now, a bit of a twist with the SandBell PRO is that it doesn't have the usual kettlebell handles, which means it's more like a sandbag. For anyone who’s used to swinging kettlebells, this might take some getting used to.

According to our research, folks generally find it fairly easy to switch over to this handle-free style, though it can be a bit tricky for exercises that usually depend on handles. Some of those we looked at mentioned that they had to tweak their grip when moving from traditional kettlebells to the SandBell, especially for moves like swings or juggling it between hands.

Still, many people appreciate the variation it brings to their workouts once they get the hang of it. Even without handles, the SandBell PRO has its strong points. It's quite adaptable for a bunch of different workouts and holds up well thanks to its durable and leak-proof design.

So if you're looking to mix up your workouts with something a bit different, it might be worth a try. On the other hand, if kettlebell handles are a big part of your routine, it’s something to think about how much this change will impact you. Overall, it's about finding that balance between introducing something new to your workouts and the familiarity you already have.
