The Panasonic NI-WL600's steam function seems to do well, especially if you're into quilting or sewing. From what we've found, it heats up pretty quickly, which is really handy when you need your fabric to lie flat and smooth. The iron's multi-directional stainless steel soleplate helps it glide over fabric easily, making it ideal for precise tasks.
That said, some users have mixed feelings about its heat retention. While the temperature seems fine for delicate sewing projects according to our research, it might not get hot enough for some folks, especially on the cotton setting. So, if you're handling heavy fabrics that need more heat, this may not be the best choice.
The cordless design is pretty slick, allowing for excellent maneuverability. But keep in mind, you'll have to dock it on its base frequently to keep it hot, which could take a tweak in your usual ironing routine.
All in all, if you're looking for a cordless iron with a good steam function for projects like quilting, the Panasonic NI-WL600 is a solid option. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve with its cordless setup.
