The Drybar High Tops Self-Grip Rollers are designed to hold your hair in place without needing extra clips, which can be super handy. The manufacturer says they're made with a gentle, self-gripping fabric that should help keep your hair secure without pulling or causing damage—especially if you've got fine hair.
From what we've found, folks with fine hair generally find these rollers do a good job of adding volume. In fact, someone mentioned they didn't have issues with tangling. But if your hair's on the thicker side, you might need more than one pack to get full coverage—that's something to keep in mind based on your hair type and what you're aiming for.
That said, experiences can vary. Some have found that the rollers might not hold as well without extra clips, particularly for really fine or slippery hair. A few people mentioned the rollers could leave the ends of their hair a bit frizzy, which might mean a bit more styling to get the finish you want. If your hair's quite slick or fine, a few extra clips might help improve the hold.
Results-wise, many folks say these rollers add noticeable volume and body, especially if you use them alongside a blow dryer. To get the best outcome while avoiding heat damage, try using a heat protectant, letting the hair cool completely before taking the rollers out, and maybe finish off with a cool air blast to set the style.
These tips are often recommended by stylists to keep your style lasting longer without hurting your hair.
So, if you're after a low-fuss way to boost volume, giving the Drybar High Tops a shot could be worthwhile. Just remember, you might need to tweak your technique or use a few products to see what works best for your hair. And if your hair is on the thicker side, having a couple of packs might be necessary for full coverage.
