The Good Ideas Savannah Elevated Garden Rain Saver, which can hold up to 42 gallons of water, seems to be pretty sturdy. The product design described by the manufacturer—featuring a colonial-style—implies it's built to handle being full without any issues. It also has two brass spigots, which might give you an idea of the quality materials and thought that went into making it.
From what we've found, the overall build quality and materials stack up well against other top-notch rain barrels. Its elevated garden design might actually help with weight distribution, reducing the chance of it tipping over, as long as it's on stable, level ground.
It's worth mentioning that a few people have reported receiving their units with parts missing, like spigots, due to shipping issues. Thankfully, those who contacted customer service got replacements. While that doesn't directly relate to how sturdy the barrel is, it's good to know so you can be aware and get any issues sorted quickly.
Overall, folks using the Savannah Elevated Garden Rain Saver tend to consider it a solid option for collecting rainwater. The two spigots are handy for various gardening tasks, which speaks to its practical design and reliability.
If you're planning to get it, just make sure your setup spot is nice and level to make the most of its design and keep it stable when it's full.
All in all, it sounds like a well-designed product that should hold up to its purpose.
