The CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17250 2.5 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac is known for its good suction power, making it suitable for both wet and dry messes. According to our research, since it’s a corded electric vacuum, it benefits from consistent power when you’re using it, so you don't have to worry about it losing suction partway through a task.
The manufacturer claims it has a 3 peak horsepower motor, which is pretty strong for a vacuum this size. This means it can handle most small to medium cleanups, like dust, liquid spills, or small debris. Our research also suggests it does a great job picking up spills easily, thanks to the steady power supply from being plugged in.
It comes with a 10-foot power cord, which should be just fine for most small cleanups around the house. If you need to reach further, though, you might want to grab an extension cord. While the cord length might seem a bit limiting when reaching distant outlets, many feel that the consistent suction power from being plugged in makes up for this.
If moving around easily is really important to you, and you think having a cordless vacuum would make your life easier, there are other brands like DeWalt and Milwaukee that offer battery-powered models.
Keep in mind, though, that with those, you usually trade-off between longer runtime and suction strength.
So, if you're after strong and uninterrupted suction and have power outlets within reach, the CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17250 2.5 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac is a solid choice with its strong motor and reliable performance.
