So, about the hose on the CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17250. Our research suggests that while the vacuum is pretty decent at its job, the hose can sometimes work its way loose. This seems to be more of a problem during intense vacuuming sessions. A few folks have even mentioned using tape as a backup measure to keep it attached snugly.

It sounds like the connection isn't always as tight as you might want. Even with this issue, though, a lot of people are still happy with how it tackles general household messes. The vacuum's got a 2.5 Peak HP motor, which the manufacturer says is great for typical cleaning chores at home. And it's versatile too—handling both wet and dry messes.

If you're dealing with dry stuff, it's a good idea to use the CMXZVBE38737 Genuine CRAFTSMAN Filter Bag, as CRAFTSMAN recommends. They say it helps with fine particle capture, making cleanup a bit easier. Just make sure it's fitted properly, because some have reported dust sneaking out if it's not.

Regular maintenance is key here. Keep an eye on the filter and swap it out when needed. Some folks have mentioned the original filter feels a bit flimsy, so keeping it clean is important. If you notice it's not sucking as well as it should, it's worth giving the filter a check or replacing it.

And if these issues with the hose or filter persist, reaching out to CRAFTSMAN could be helpful. They might have solutions or even offer a replacement.

Hope that helps!
