The Brome Squirrel Solution200 bird feeder can hold about 3.4 pounds of bird seed, according to the manufacturer's details. It's designed to keep those clever squirrels from hogging all the food with a weight-activated mechanism that shuts the feeding ports when something heavier, like a squirrel, jumps on.
Our research indicates that most bird enthusiasts find this feature pretty effective, although every now and then, a particularly determined squirrel might manage to sneak some seeds. To minimize these occurrences, installing the feeder with at least 18 inches of clearance around can help.
While no feeder is completely squirrel-proof, folks using the Squirrel Solution200 often report fewer squirrel issues compared to other feeders. In areas where squirrels are especially crafty, you might want to consider adding some extra deterrents or checking out other solutions from the same brand.
So, if you're looking to keep your feathered visitors well-fed without constantly refilling due to squirrel raids, this feeder seems like a solid choice.
