So, you're wondering how many tiles come with the Linda Li American Mahjong Set? Well, according to our data, the set comes with a total of 166 tiles. This is typical for American-style Mahjong, which generally includes 152 tiles plus some spares and jokers for the game.
The tiles are made from melamine, which is pretty sturdy. They're each about 1-3/16 inches tall, 7/8 inches wide, and 1/2 inch thick. While the manufacturer describes them as full-sized, our research indicates that opinions on their size vary. Some people think the tiles are a bit smaller than expected, while others are fine with them. It might just depend on what you're used to.
If you've played Mahjong before or have a set already, it could be helpful to compare these dimensions to your current tiles to see if they're what you're looking for. The size of the tiles can really affect how the game feels, so finding a size that you’re comfortable with is important.
If you're thinking about trying bigger tiles or a different style, you might want to check out other sets. There are options out there with larger tiles if that's more your thing.
In short, the Linda Li Set comes with everything you need—166 tiles in total.
Even though opinions on the size may differ, knowing what to expect can help you decide if this set is right for your Mahjong games. If you have specific preferences, it might be worth looking into other sets that fit your style better.
