The D'Angelico Premier EXL-1 Hollowbody Guitar comes with just one pickup, a floating Duncan-designed mini-humbucker, according to the manufacturer's description. This setup is perfect for generating those warm, rich jazz tones you'd expect from a classic jazz or blues guitar.
Many musicians really like the mix of its vintage look with a modern sound. It's got a laminated spruce top and maple body, which contribute to its clear and resonant tone—great for jazz. According to our research, the craftsmanship gets a lot of praise too, with particular mention of its elegant design. The gold hardware looks fantastic against the satin walnut finish, giving it that timeless beauty.
Playing it is enjoyable too, thanks to its comfy neck and balanced weight—something that's pointed out in several reviews. The single pickup gives you a pure tone, making it easy for jazz lovers to mold the sound just the way they like.
