Hey there! If you're wondering how long it takes for Lion's Mane mushrooms to grow with the Gallboys Mushroom Kit, I've got some insights for you.
From what we've found, you should start seeing the mushrooms pop up about two weeks in. The whole growing process usually wraps up in 14 to 21 days, but it does depend a bit on the conditions you keep.
The kit comes with everything you need to get started—like a humidity tent and easy guides through QR codes. So, it's pretty user-friendly, even if you're just starting out.
The manufacturer suggests keeping the temperature between 55°F and 75°F to give your mushrooms a good growing environment. Sticking to these conditions can really boost your success rate.
Our research shows that people often have good results, with some even harvesting over a pound of mushrooms on their first try. However, a few folks have had less luck, usually when the conditions or instructions weren't exactly followed to a T.
As for the taste, once they're grown, these mushrooms are known for their flavor, which some folks say is similar to lobster, especially when sautéed with butter and onions. The manufacturer says this makes them a hit in the kitchen.
So, if you're thinking about giving this kit a go, expect your mushrooms to be ready for harvest in a couple of weeks, as long as you follow the tips and keep the conditions right.
It's a fun project and a tasty one too!
