When it comes to the Bosch GLM165-25G Green-Beam Laser Distance Measure, the battery life is definitely something to think about. It's powered by AA batteries, which are pretty simple to replace.
But from what we've gathered, folks have noticed it can go through batteries faster than you'd expect, sometimes even when it's just sitting around not in use.
So, if you're planning on using your GLM165-25G a lot or for longer projects, it might be worth looking into rechargeable AA batteries. This way, you'll save some money and also do a bit more for the environment by cutting down on battery waste.
Aside from the batteries, the green beam on this laser measure is a standout feature, described by the manufacturer as about four times brighter than the usual red beam. This is super handy when you're working in different lighting conditions, whether you're inside or out in the sun.
Just a heads-up, though: while the device is generally accurate (it claims a precision up to +/- 1/16 of an inch), our research picked up on some small accuracy variations, especially at shorter ranges. A few folks noticed it could be off by about 1/4 inch at 12 feet, so just keep that in mind.
The GLM165-25G is built tough, with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, which is great for job sites. Plus, it comes with useful extras like a belt clip and a carrying pouch, making it easier to tote around.
All in all, people appreciate this tool for its user-friendly design and flexible measuring options. Just remember to be aware of the battery life, and maybe think about rechargeable batteries to get the most out of it.
