The Epson FastFoto FF-680W can really get the job done quickly. According to the manufacturer, it can scan documents at up to 45 pages per minute. While this number specifically applies to documents, the scanner is also designed to speed through photo scanning too, so it should make fast work of your photo collection.
The FF-680W doesn't just focus on speed. It's versatile enough to handle both single and double-sided documents. From our research, users seem pretty happy with how fast and reliable it is. Plus, it can manage documents up to 240 inches long, which is handy if you have larger items to scan.
Aside from speed, you'll find some practical features that make using this scanner smoother. It comes with Epson ScanSmart software that includes optical character recognition (OCR), turning scanned documents into editable text and creating searchable PDFs—super useful for keeping things organized.
Something else to like about the FF-680W is its wireless capability. It lets you scan directly to your computer, phone, or even cloud services like Dropbox or Google Drive. This comes in handy for reducing physical clutter and keeping things digital.
That said, there are a few hiccups. Some folks have mentioned dealing with software issues sometimes, like connectivity problems or updates messing with settings—which might mean a bit of troubleshooting now and then. Especially if you're planning to use it a lot with cloud services or over Wi-Fi.
Overall, the Epson FastFoto FF-680W is really efficient for scanning both photos and documents, making it a good fit for home or small office use where speed and versatility matter. Just think about how you'll be using it to make sure it aligns with your scanning needs, especially regarding document handling and connectivity.
