The Sofia + Sam Multi-Tasking Memory Foam Lap Desk comes with a USB-powered LED light, which people seem to find pretty useful. According to how the manufacturer describes it, you can use this lap desk with laptops up to 15 inches. But from what we found, folks have been able to use slightly bigger laptops, like 16 or even 17 inches, by adding a cooling pad underneath.
The light itself is on a flexible arm, great for aiming it right where you need in a dim room. It’s not super bright, but it seems to do the job for tasks like finding the right keys or reading papers when you don’t want to light up the whole room.
People also like the lap desk for being versatile and comfy. It has a memory foam cushion that feels easy on the lap and comes with extras like a slide-out mouse pad and a spot for your phone. It's like having a mini work setup anywhere.
Just a heads-up, some found that it can get a bit toasty if you use it for a long time, especially with bigger laptops. So, it might be good to take breaks or maybe add a cooling pad if you’re planning on working for hours on end.
All in all, the USB light seems like a handy feature if you need a little extra glow while you're using the desk. Just keep in mind the heating thing if you're using it non-stop with a hefty laptop.
