The Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer is aimed at keeping animals like deer away from your yard using a motion-activated sprinkler system. It can spot movement up to 40 feet away, and then a spurt of water is released to scare them off—at least that's how the manufacturer describes it.
When it comes to keeping deer at bay, the feedback has been pretty positive. According to our research, the Yard Enforcer does a solid job within the specified range. People seem happy with how it covers a large area and reacts quickly when deer show up.
However, for smaller animals like rabbits, it may not be as effective unless they wander closer to the sensor. You might have to play around with the sensitivity and sensor height to get better results with these guys. So if you're dealing with various critters, it could take some fiddling.
Professional reviewers have often mentioned that the Yard Enforcer is fairly easy to install, and its settings can be tweaked to fit different environments—something that can help cut down on false alarms. But you might need to adjust things based on your yard setup or the local wildlife.
One thing to keep an eye on is temperature. Our data suggests that in extreme heat, the sensor might struggle a bit to differentiate between animal body heat and the surrounding environment, which could affect performance.
All in all, the Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer generally works well against deer and bigger pests, though you might need to make some adjustments to get it to do its best in your situation.
Being willing to experiment a bit with the settings could be key to making the most out of it.
