If you're thinking about using the Peerless-AV PRG-UNV projector mount with your Sony 4K projector, you might be wondering how easy it is to adjust. It's known for being solidly built and pretty user-friendly, handling projectors up to 50 lbs. So, it works with a variety of models, including most Sony 4K projectors.
That said, our research indicates there are a few issues with certain models, like the Sony VPL-VW675ES. Some folks have mentioned that the mount's design sometimes requires its legs to overlap, which might leave your projector a bit off-kilter.
So, while the mount itself is sturdy, matching it perfectly with specific Sony projectors could be a bit tricky, especially if the bolt layout doesn’t fit just right.
Generally, people like the Peerless-AV PRG-UNV for being durable and adaptable. Still, getting it just right can be a bit tricky if the mounting holes don’t line up perfectly or if you need extra support.
The pitch and roll adjustments are usually fine, but yaw adjustments involve rotating the entire mount, which isn't super precise. This might take some extra work, especially in cramped spaces.
Be aware that the mount's adjustment positions are somewhat limited. So, you might have to rely on your projector controls to fix any alignment issues. It’s a good idea to make sure your projector’s design and the mount's adapter plate are compatible.
If you're worried about alignment issues, you might want to look at other options with more flexible arm configurations, like those from Chief or even certain Sony mounts.
Also, double-check whether you're buying the PRG-UNV or PRGS-UNV version, as there might be slight differences in what's sold by different sellers.
In short, the Peerless-AV PRG-UNV is a solid and versatile choice for many. Just be prepared for a bit of effort to get everything perfectly aligned, especially with particular projector models.
