When it comes to the Vidabita 3/16 & 1/8 Grommet Tool Kit and Eyelet Hole Punch Plier, durability is definitely something to consider.
It's described as lightweight and easy to use for materials like paper, card, leather, and fabric, which makes it great for crafting and fashion projects. Just keep in mind that it's not meant for metal, so stick to those lighter materials.
From what we've found, opinions on its durability are mixed. Some folks love it for DIY work—like Leonard A. Kaneakua, who found it easy to use and a good fit for creative projects. Carol F. also mentioned its lasting quality and how uncomplicated it was to use.
On the flip side, there are some complaints about its durability. J. Franco reported the punch broke while using it on shoes, indicating it might not handle thicker materials well.
Another person said the handle broke on their first try with tougher materials too. So, it seems like it might be best suited for lighter stuff like card stock rather than heavy-duty materials like leather.
If you're looking at using it mostly for light materials, this kit could work well for you. But if you plan on working with tougher stuff, these durability issues are worth considering.
For heavy-duty projects, you might need something sturdier that's up to the task.
