The Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth 64oz water bottle is pretty decent, but when it comes to durability, here's what we found. It's made from a thinner stainless steel to keep the bottle light, which is great if you're into hiking or camping and want to keep your load manageable. But, there's a bit of a trade-off here.
Our research suggests that this thin design makes the bottle prone to denting. So if you're planning to use it in rough settings—or if you're prone to dropping things (guilty as charged!)—the bottle might show some wear and tear. People have mentioned that newer models seem flimsier compared to the older Klean Kanteen versions, likely due to slightly thicker material previously used.
That said, there are still lots of positives. For one, it's an eco-friendly choice, which is a big deal for those looking to minimize their environmental impact. Plus, it works with most water filters and is dishwasher-safe, which is a nice perk for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
In short, if you need a super tough bottle that can take a beating, you might want to explore other options or maybe check out Klean Kanteen's insulated versions, which tend to be a bit sturdier.
But if you're careful with your gear and prefer something lightweight, this bottle could work well for you. It's all about balancing what matters most to you—durability versus weight. If you're fine with being a little cautious to avoid dents, the Klean Kanteen 64oz can still be a solid and eco-friendly pick for you.
