The Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth 64oz Water Bottle has a solid reputation for being durable and lightweight. However, it’s good to keep in mind that this one isn't insulated. Some folks have mentioned they were caught off guard by this because they assumed it would keep drinks hot or cold based on their experiences with other bottles. Just a heads up.
As for leaks, our research suggests that it doesn't have any major issues in that department, as long as the lid is screwed on tightly. It seems well designed in terms of the lid and threading which help to create a good seal, but it's important to properly maintain it and always double-check that the lid’s secure.
There's also something eco-friendly about this bottle—it's made from 90% post-consumer recycled stainless steel and has no internal coatings, so cleanup is simple, and it's even dishwasher safe.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the non-insulated single-wall design can make it prone to dents if you drop it. That said, it’s great for situations like hiking or camping where you’re more concerned with how much water you can carry without adding too much weight.
Plus, the wide mouth makes it easy to slip in some ice cubes, which is perfect on hot days. Just remember that while it’s spacious and eco-conscious, it’s not going to keep your drinks hot or cold for long, and it can dent a bit more easily if you’re not careful with it.
