From what we've found, the durability of the 8 Inch Blue Plasma Ball by Tradeopia is kind of a mixed bag. It's got some pretty cool features—you can touch it and the plasma follows your finger, and it even reacts to sound. The idea is it lights up when you talk or play music near it, which sounds awesome.

But, when it comes to how well it stands up to wear and tear, there are some conflicting opinions. On the one hand, a lot of folks are really pleased with how responsive the plasma is when they touch it. It's bright and reacts quickly, which is pretty neat.

Sound sensitivity, though, seems a bit hit or miss. Some people found they had to crank up the volume quite a bit to get it to react, so if you're expecting it to pick up lower sounds, it might not always do the trick.

As for the glass and the overall durability, there are a couple of things to be careful about. Some have pointed out the power switch can be a bit uncooperative. There are also reports of the ball stopping working after not too long, so being gentle with it is probably a smart call.

Despite these concerns, it's still a hit with lots of people for its looks and the fun factor.

So if you're considering it, think about these points, and maybe grabbing an extra protection plan—if that's an option—wouldn't be a bad idea. It's all about whether its charms line up with what you're after.
