So, about the durability of the Double Black Chain Bikers Vest Extenders—it's kind of a mixed bag. The manufacturer says they're made with genuine leather and have a heavy-duty snap, but they don't give specifics about what the chains are made of.
From what we've gathered, it really depends on what you expect. Some folks feel the chains seem a bit light. There's a comment suggesting the chains might be made of lightweight aluminum, which can feel a bit plasticky. This has made some people question if they're actually metal because of how lightweight they feel.
But on the flip side, many have been happy with how the extenders perform. Even if there are concerns about the chain's material or feel, they seem to snap on well and hold up fine, even when you're riding fast. That's great if you're often on your bike.
It seems the mixed reviews might be due to different personal expectations or maybe some variations in how these extenders are made. So, if the chain's material and weight are really important to you, you might want to think about these points before buying.
In short, there's no clear info on what the chain is made of, but some think it's lightweight metal, possibly aluminum, with a plastic-like feel. If you're okay with that and are mainly after something that does the job, these extenders might work out for you.
