The Amazon Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen, 2023 release) really stepped up its sound game compared to the older models. From what we've found, folks generally notice better audio, with clearer vocals and deeper bass. The improved speakers offer a more robust sound, making it a good choice for music, videos, and even video calls.
When you compare it to the earlier versions, this Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) seems to have a more balanced and full sound, fixing some complaints about past models being a bit flat. In fact, it stands up pretty well even against some standalone smart speakers, which is impressive for a device that also has a display.
One of the big upgrades is in the speaker drivers, which the manufacturer says provide a wider sound stage. So, whether you're multitasking in the kitchen or lounging in the living room, the sound is designed to fill the space nicely. If you've been thinking about upgrading for better sound, this model might just be worth it.
However, just a heads up: while the sound quality is better, the Echo Show 8 is still more about being a smart display than a top-notch audio speaker. So, if you're all about super high-quality sound, you might still want a dedicated speaker for that.
But overall, it's a nice balance for those who want the perks of a smart display with sound that's pretty decent.
According to what we've gathered, if sound is a big deal for you and you're considering moving up from an older Echo Show, this model definitely offers a noticeable improvement. Plus, you've got Alexa, video calls, and better sound all rolled into one handy device.
