The Solar Buddies Sunscreen Applicator is a pretty neat tool for putting on sunscreen, especially if you're on the go. It's designed to be portable and easy to use, and the manufacturer says it's leak-proof, so you can safely toss it into your bag without worrying about a mess.

From what we've found, it works best with sunscreens that aren't too thick. If the sunscreen is on the thicker side, you might need to apply a bit more pressure for it to come out smoothly. The applicator uses a roll-on style, so it's really handy for covering larger areas quickly.

That said, if you're dealing with thicker sunscreen, you might need to do a little manual rubbing to spread it out evenly.

One thing to keep in mind is that maintaining the applicator is important. Cleaning the sponge after each use is key to avoiding any hygiene issues or funky odors. This step will help make sure each application feels fresh and clean.

It's particularly popular with families, thanks to its compact design. It's great for travel or letting kids apply sunscreen themselves without the mess. Just make sure you're using a sunscreen that fits well with its roll-on mechanism, and be ready to do a bit of extra blending if the sunscreen is thicker.

All in all, the Solar Buddies applicator can really make putting on sunscreen a breeze, as long as you're using it with the right kind of sunscreen and taking good care of it. It's definitely a handy companion for outdoor fun.
