Dirac Live room correction on the Onkyo TX-RZ50 helps you get the best sound in your home theater by adjusting audio to better fit your room. It's pretty advanced compared to other systems; it doesn't just tweak volume and balance but also improves the accuracy and timing of the sound.
So, if you're bothered by echoes or uneven sound, Dirac Live works on sorting that out.
A heads-up, though: the TX-RZ50 has dual subwoofer outputs, but you can't control them separately—they work together as one. If you're used to fine-tuning each sub's settings, this might feel like a limitation. But according to our research, for most home theater setups, this combined control doesn't really affect the performance.
When setting up Dirac Live, you’ll use a microphone and follow the app's guidance through different listening spots in your room to gather data. This helps create a custom sound calibration that boosts clarity and precision.
So, if you're someone who wants individual subwoofer adjustments, that's something to keep in mind.
But overall, Dirac Live offers great sound correction for many folks, helping to enhance your home theater audio experience by addressing specific room acoustics.
