Yep, the Onkyo TX-RZ50 does support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Based on the manufacturer's description, it's designed to give you that immersive audio vibe for both movies and tunes.
Now, while it packs these cool features, our research shows there are some hiccups folks have run into, especially with the HDMI stuff. Some users have faced HDMI board failures, resulting in occasional audio and video cutouts. A factory reset might temporarily fix things, but it seems it's not a permanent solution.
Even with these potential issues, a lot of people rave about its sound quality and the Dirac Live room correction. With proper calibration, many notice a big jump in sound quality, describing it as lush and full-bodied.
To avoid HDMI headaches, make sure all your gear and cables meet 4K and HDCP standards. Maybe think about a warranty or protection plan, just to be safe. Doing this can help you ace the setup and enjoy all the receiver's perks.
So, while the Onkyo TX-RZ50 is a great pick for its Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, just be ready for some possible setup quirks. With the right prep, you can fully enjoy what this receiver can do!
