If you're playing around with making smoky cocktails, Cherry Tempest wood chips really stand out among Foghat's other varieties. They're ideal for things like handheld smoke guns and drink smokers, especially if you're focusing on cocktails or whiskies.

The manufacturer describes these chips as being made from aged cherry wood and mixed with passion fruit, giving them a sweet yet mild flavor. This makes them a great fit for white wines and bourbons, adding a nice complexity to your drink. And they're naturally made with no artificial chemicals, so you get a pure, authentic smoke.

From what we found, people say the Cherry Tempest chips give off a rich and fruity smoke, which is perfect for bringing out caramel notes in bourbons and whiskies. They're pretty easy to use too, so whether you're a beginner or a seasoned cocktail maker, you won't have much trouble getting them into your recipes.

Some people have mentioned that the 4 oz package may not last too long, especially considering the price, so it might be best saved for special occasions rather than everyday use.

There's also a note about the chips burning fast sometimes, but that may depend on how they're used.

Compared to other Foghat flavors, Cherry Tempest offers a unique fruity twist. If you're up for experimenting or looking to impress guests with something different, these chips might just be what you need for crafting standout smoked beverages.
