When you're riding in wet conditions, the Gusset S2 X-Soft Clamp-On Grips seem to do a pretty good job. Based on our research, they have a tacky compound that helps a lot with grip when things get slippery. This material is a soft 30A VEXK rubber that not only feels comfortable but also keeps that grippy quality when it's wet out.
Plus, the knurled diamond pattern and the ribbing underneath add to that secure hold, which is great for tackling muddy or rainy trails.
The grips use a single inside collar lock-on design, making it easy to install or remove them with a 3mm Allen key. This design also leaves out the outer clamp so you can adjust your hand position more easily, which is a nice feature when you're trying to keep control in less-than-ideal weather.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that because the rubber is so soft, it might wear out faster if you're often riding in wet conditions. So, if durability is super important to you, that might be something to consider.
They fit well for folks with bigger hands, offering good comfort, but might feel a bit bulky if your hands are on the smaller side.
As for cushioning and how they compare to more premium options, some have noted that while the grip is top-notch, they could be a bit plusher. But at a price of $29.99, they strike a balance between performance and affordability.
So, if you're looking for good grip, especially in wet weather, without spending too much, these might be a good pick.
In short, if you find yourself often in wet conditions, the Gusset S2 X-Soft Clamp-On Grips could be worth trying. Just keep an eye on how they wear over time.
