Installing the 9663649877XT parking sensor from AUTO-GETHER is relatively straightforward. The manufacturer mentions it's compatible with various car models, so it should fit most setups without much hassle.
Before you dive in, make sure you've got the necessary tools. You'll need basics like a screwdriver and, depending on your car, maybe a power drill too. The sensor comes alone, so extras like vehicle-specific instructions might not be included.
Here's a quick guide to walk you through the process:
-
Find the Sensor Spot: Locate where the sensor should go. This is usually on the rear bumper, but it's a good idea to check your car's manual for specifics.
-
Remove the Old Sensor: If there's an old sensor in place, carefully unclip it and disconnect any wires.
-
Attach the New Sensor: Hook up the new 9663649877XT sensor to the wiring harness. Make sure the connections are tight to prevent any issues.
-
Secure the Sensor: Place the sensor using the mounting bracket or clip. Make sure it's snug, so it doesn't jiggle and mess up the readings.
-
Test It Out: Turn on your car, switch to reverse, and check if the sensor works as it should. Look for any sound or visual indicators.
If any of these steps feel tricky, it's probably worth getting help from a professional. That way, you can avoid damaging the sensor or your car.
As for availability, it's not on Amazon Prime, but it goes for $36.99 with free shipping. Just a heads-up, stock is limited to 20 units as of now, and delivery could be between October 28 and November 12, depending on your shipping choice.
