The SHEEPSKIN ELITE Chamois Drying Cloth you're asking about is around 3.7 square feet, according to the manufacturer's description. It's made from genuine sheepskin leather, so it's known for being super absorbent and really soft. The manufacturer mentions that it's free of any artificial fibers or synthetic materials.
This cloth goes through a special treatment with deep sea cod oil during tanning, which ups its durability and water absorption. You might notice a slight fishy smell at first because of this, but our research shows that it usually fades after a few washes.
One big perk of this chamois is that it doesn’t leave lint or scratches, which is why many folks like it for drying cars—no streaks left behind. However, there were some reports of lint and streaks initially, but these issues often got better with time and proper care, like rinsing it with clean water before use and giving it a good wash afterward.
We found some concerns about residue or dust on delicate surfaces, though these seem to vary. Most people still praise its excellent absorbency and versatility.
It's handy not only for car care but also for drying boats, delicate instruments, and even pets.
So, if you like natural materials for your car care kit, this genuine sheepskin cloth might be a good fit. It mixes a classic feel with strong performance, making it a favorite for many drying tasks.
