The Garmin eTrex 32x generally does a good job with GPS accuracy, even in tricky environments like thick forests or deep valleys. According to our research, it uses both GPS and GLONASS, which helps keep its signal strong in challenging conditions.
The manufacturer highlights its high-sensitivity receiver, which means it's designed to hold onto that signal well, even when the sky isn't totally visible. That's a nice plus for folks who love hiking or exploring off the beaten path.
Based on what we've found, people using the eTrex 32x for hiking, geocaching, and similar activities are usually happy with its navigation reliability. Of course, no GPS is perfect every single time, especially in really tough terrains, but most discrepancies are small.
Oh, and a quick note—while the microSD card slot doesn't directly affect GPS accuracy, it can help with map storage. You can add up to 32GB, which lets you have more detailed maps handy.
Just a heads up though, there have been some compatibility quirks with certain SD cards, so it's a good idea to double-check that your card works well with it.
All in all, the eTrex 32x is seen as a reliable choice for outdoor navigation. To keep it at its best, make sure to update your maps regularly and handle your storage properly.
