The Replogle Globes Garrison Globe is pretty impressive when it comes to its cartography. It measures 16 inches in diameter and the maps on it are from National Geographic, so you know you're getting solid, reliable geographic information. This makes the Garrison Globe not just nice to look at, but also a really handy tool if you're into learning about the world.
From what we've found, you don't have to worry about assembly; the globe comes with a sturdy hardwood stand that has an antique finish, and it's ready to go as soon as you unpack it. That said, there have been a few hiccups here and there with the packaging—some folks mentioned missing parts. But in those cases, Replogle has been quick to send out the missing pieces, so things get sorted pretty fast.
Most people agree the globe is really useful for educational purposes. It works well in different settings, whether that's at home, in a classroom, or even in an office. The detail in the geography and political boundaries is something geography buffs, teachers, and students seem to really appreciate.
So, when it comes to accuracy, the Garrison Globe scores highly, thanks to its National Geographic-sourced maps. It's a good mix of being a learning tool and a decorative piece.
And while there might be minor packaging issues occasionally, they aren't the norm and Replogle tends to address them promptly.
All in all, if you're after a globe that looks good and is informative, the Garrison Globe is worth considering.
