The Sukoa Chalk Bag is a go-to for many climbers because it can hold more than just chalk. From what the manufacturer says, there are two large zippered pockets that should securely fit most large smartphones. Our research backs this up, as these pockets are indeed roomy enough to comfortably accommodate bigger phones.
It's a handy feature, making the bag useful for keeping valuables safe during climbs.
However, there's a bit of mixed feedback regarding the drawstring closure on the main compartment. The manufacturer claims it's meant to prevent chalk spills, but some folks find it a bit tricky to use. The drawstring can be quite long and awkward, especially if you're trying to access it quickly with one hand mid-climb.
We've found that a few people have cut the drawstring shorter to make it more manageable.
Overall, while the drawstring might require a bit of tweaking, the bag's spacious pockets definitely add to its convenience, especially if storing a large smartphone is high on your list.
So, with some minor adjustments, the Sukoa Chalk Bag can be pretty effective at keeping your chalk and essentials organized. If you think you might need a bit of room for your phone, it could be a useful addition to your climbing gear.
