Hey there! If you're wondering what the RazorPit Men's Razor Blade Sharpener actually does, here's the scoop.
It's more about maintaining and cleaning your razor blades rather than sharpening them like a knife sharpener would. The manufacturer describes it as using a friction-based technology that clears away the gunk that makes blades seem dull over time.
So think of it like giving your razor a deep clean—removing all that leftover shaving cream, hair, and dead skin. By doing this, it helps extend the life of your blades, so you get more shaves from each one.
Although it's marketed as a sharpener, it's more about keeping the blade's edge clean and gunk-free, which helps it perform better.
The manufacturer claims you could get up to 150 shaves from a single blade, but that can vary depending on your blade type and shaving habits. From what we've found, most people notice their blades last a lot longer. Someone even said they kept using a Mach 3 cartridge for up to 90 days—that's pretty great!
However, keep in mind it won't bring a blade back to its original sharpness like a knife sharpener would. It's really about maintenance and making the most out of your current blades rather than completely revamping them.
I hope that clears things up a bit for you!
