The Hoover PowerScrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner is designed with a dual tank system to keep clean and dirty water separate. This is supposed to make it easier to fill, empty, and maintain, according to the manufacturer's description. However, some folks have noticed the clean water tank sometimes leaks.
Based on our research, a few people have mentioned that the leakage comes from issues with the tank connection, possibly due to a spring mechanism that can get stuck. Not everyone experiences this, but it's something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about getting this model.
On the upside, the dual tank design usually lets you clean without having to constantly stop to refill or empty the tanks, which is a big plus for many. The separation of clean and dirty water is convenient and keeps the cleaning process pretty hygienic.
Even with some leak reports, many still find the dual tank setup a strong point. If you do run into leaks, make sure the seals are tight and the tanks are clicked in properly; this might fix the issue.
If leaking persists, checking the user manual or contacting Hoover's customer support could be helpful. Sometimes, tweaking the seals or connection can solve the problem.
While it's good to be aware of potential leakage, a lot of people still have a good experience using this carpet cleaner when it's properly maintained.
