Hey! So you're wondering if the EdgeStar KC7000SS kegerator has any temperature control issues? Let's take a closer look.
Generally speaking, this kegerator does a good job of keeping your beer at the right temperature. According to the manufacturer's product description, it has a forced air-cooled beer tower that helps keep things chill, which is great for avoiding a foamy pour. It offers a temperature range from 32°F to 60°F, giving you some flexibility for both storage and serving.
That said, our research did uncover that some folks have experienced the beer being about 3°F higher than they wanted. It’s not a huge issue, but if you're really particular about your beer's temperature, it's something to keep in mind.
The kegerator also has a front-venting design, so it works well as both a built-in or freestanding unit, which is pretty convenient. It's designed to fit in with your cabinetry if that's what you're going for.
But, heads up, a few people mentioned needing extra parts, like a PVC component, for a seamless countertop setup. This might require a bit of DIY, particularly when setting up the CO2 tank.
As for the build quality, it has a nice stainless steel look with interior LED lighting, which is pretty slick. Most find it solid, but there have been some comments about the draft components like the coupler and faucet not being top-notch.
If you're all about getting the perfect pour, upgrading the beer lines could help, especially if you're dealing with foam issues using shorter hoses.
Overall, the EdgeStar KC7000SS is a pretty sleek and functional kegerator. With a few adjustments, it could be a great addition to your bar or kitchen setup!
