If you're thinking about the CZCRAOR Latch Hook Rug Kit and are worried about any bad smells, you're not the only one who's asked. Based on our research, a few folks have mentioned a not-so-great odor coming from the yarnāsome have even compared it to a 'rotten fish' smell. This has been a bit of an issue for some, leading them to use air fresheners or find other ways to deal with it.
The kit itself is pretty complete. It comes with everything you'd need, whether you're just starting out or have some experience. It includes a canvas with a color-printed pattern of a black cat, yarn, a crochet hook, and instructions.
The manufacturer highlights that the materials are eco-friendly and that the finished piece is colorful and soft. The size is 20.5''x14'', which could work as a decorative piece around your home, like a small rug or a doormat.
From what we found, people have mixed feelings about the kit's quality. Some folks find it easy to use and appreciate the guidance from the printed pattern. But there have been some comments about the yarn not being the best quality, like it fraying too easily or the colors not being exactly as expected.
In the end, it's about considering the upsides and downsides. The crafting journey can be rewarding, especially if you enjoy DIY projects. Just be aware of the potential for odor and yarn quality issues.
If that sounds manageable to you, it might still be a fun kit to try and add to your crafting collection.
