The COSCO 2-Step Big Step Steel Step Stool is designed to handle up to 225 pounds, so it's pretty versatile for various home tasks. With its steel frame and big resin steps, it seems pretty stable and safe.
From what we've found, people generally describe it as sturdy and reliable. For example, someone mentioned it held up well for their husband, who weighs 210 pounds. That says a lot about its solid build. Folks seem to like how easy it is to use and how stable it feels when you’re grabbing stuff off high shelves or doing little repairs around the house.
However, if you have hardwood or tile flooring, you should be a bit cautious. Some folks have noticed that the plastic feet might not grip these smooth surfaces as well as you'd hope, which could lead to slipping, especially when there's weight on the stool.
If your home has these types of floors, it might be a good idea to use rubber floor grips for extra safety. This can help prevent any sliding and keep things safe and steady while you use the stool.
In general, while the COSCO step stool is a solid pick for home tasks with its sturdy design and good weight capacity, it’s smart to think about your floor type and take some simple precautions to ensure it doesn’t move around.
