Yeah, you can use the Blue Wave NA4212 Poolwatch Pool Alarm for above-ground pools. The manufacturer describes it as being able to spot disturbances in the water, like when something weighing at least 18 pounds enters the pool.

So, it's a useful way to keep an eye out for kids or pets around the pool. The alarm will sound both at the pool and inside your house, which adds a bit more peace of mind.

From what we've found, people have mixed opinions on its sensitivity and reliability. Some folks are happy with how loud it is—mentions of it being loud enough to alert not just people inside, but also the neighbors. That's comforting for families who are keen on pool safety.

However, a few have pointed out some snags, like the alarm sometimes not going off as quickly as they'd like or not being loud enough, especially if someone larger enters or if there's some distance involved during testing.

Overall, it's seen as a decent budget option, balancing cost and effectiveness. You'll need to drill into your pool deck to set it up, which some have mentioned.

But, it does react quickly to water movements and has a 'swim' mode to avoid false alarms during pool use. Just remember to test it thoroughly once it's set up and be ready for a bit of troubleshooting to make sure it works best for your pool situation.
