If you're thinking about using the Plant My Tank 3/4 Stainless Steel Hog Rings for fencing, they should work pretty well for that. Made in the USA and packaged in sets of 100, they give you a good amount to get started. They're stainless steel, which means they won't rust easily and can handle harsh weather, making them a good pick for outdoor projects like fencing.

The manufacturer describes them as 14-gauge and heavy-duty, so they're quite strong. They're also said to be easy to crimp, which is a bonus whether you're new to this or a seasoned DIYer. Our research indicates that although they're often used in fields like automotive upholstery and making wire cages, their sturdiness is great for tougher jobs like fencing too.

From what we've found, people like these hog rings for their toughness and easy use. One person mentioned they worked well with cattle panels, noting their strength in holding heavy items. Another said they used them for fixing up car seats and liked that they didn't rust, which is handy for outdoor settings or damp conditions.

One thing to watch out for is the shipping. Some folks mentioned they receive them loose in the package, which might be a bit annoying but doesn't seem to affect the quality.

Also, these rings have blunt tips, which is helpful because it reduces the chance of damaging materials during use. But if you need sharp tips for softer stuff like vinyl, these might not be exactly what you're looking for.

So, if you need something tough and rust-proof for fencing, these hog rings could be a solid option. Just make sure the blunt tips fit your project's needs.
