Hey! So, about the Learning Resources Lights and Sounds Buzzers for your classroom—here's what we've found out.
These buzzers definitely have that fun, interactive vibe that can get kids all excited with their lights and sounds, like sirens and game-show noises.
But talking about durability, there are a couple of things you might want to keep in mind if you're planning to use them a lot.
First off, you'll need 2 AAA batteries for each buzzer, but heads up, they don't come with the package. You’ll have to unscrew the battery compartment to put them in, and the screws are tiny and a bit of a hassle. Our research shows some people find these screws really tight, which occasionally causes them to strip. Some folks even bypass the screws and use tape to keep the battery cover in place—something to consider if you face the same issue.
As for durability, while they're meant for kids 3 and up, rough play seems to be their nemesis. Our research indicates they might not withstand rough handling typical in classrooms—they might stop working or get stuck with frequent use. So, they might be best used under supervision or not too often if you really want them to last.
In a nutshell, these buzzers can be a super fun tool in your classroom, but they come with a bit of a care and maintenance angle.
If you decide to go for them, maybe arm yourself with a precise screwdriver and a bit of patience with those screwy screws. They can be great when used thoughtfully, maybe for occasional activities rather than everyday use.
