So when it comes to how tough the Honoson fish scalers are, they generally seem to hold up pretty well. The company themselves say the scalers are made of stainless steel and ABS plastic, which supposedly makes them resist rusting and keeps them strong enough to avoid bending or breaking easily.
From what we've found, a lot of people appreciate how effective and easy to use these scalers are. They seem to do a good job on different fish scales without messing up the fish itself. This has garnered quite a bit of positive feedback.
There's even a nice little bonus with these scalers—they've got a multifunctional design that includes a bottle opener. That extra feature has caught people's attention as a great perk, making it even more useful in the kitchen.
However, not everyone is thrilled, particularly when it comes to the plastic parts. Some folks have pointed out that the plastic isn't as durable as the metal sections and might not hold up as well over time or with heavy use.
There also seem to be a few hiccups with quality control here and there, like missing pieces or inconsistencies now and then.
All in all, while the Honoson fish scalers are mostly seen as durable and practical, it's good to be aware of the occasional plastic and quality issues. If you're thinking of buying one, just keep those in the back of your mind.
