The PAXCOO 803Pcs Grommet Eyelet Pliers Kit includes grommets with an inside diameter of about 6mm, or 1/4 inch, according to the manufacturer. This kit is better suited for lighter projects, like working with leather or shoes—not a great fit for heavy-duty materials.
From what we've found, folks appreciate the ease and effectiveness of the pliers for small tasks. These grommets are lightweight, aligning with the manufacturer's advice that they're best for light work and may not handle thick materials (over 1-3 mm) well. The pliers are made of carbon steel, and the handle is designed for comfort, though they need to be used carefully to avoid bending.
It's important to use the included hole punch before applying the grommets. The grommets don't cut through materials on their own, and skipping this step might lead to mishaps during installation.
Keep in mind that the grommets come in non-resealable packaging, so you might want to think about a different storage solution.
If you're doing light-duty projects, this kit should work well. But for heavier tasks, you might need something designed for tougher materials.
